Report: 23 Clemson football players test positive for COVID-19

As student-athletes return to Clemson for workouts, the school has been testing them for COVID-19. On Friday, the school revealed exactly how many of those tests have come back positive for the disease.

In a statement released by the school, Clemson announced that 28 of the 315 tests that had been conducted on players had come back positive. According to Matt Connolly of The State, 23 of those positive tests came from athletes on the football team.

The school also said that it had notified those specific individuals and has put them into isolation. Clemson also encouraged the close contacts of those with positive tests to isolate themselves.
