Man, I hate that too! I actually have a problem with too many on screen graphics overshadowing live games.. I don't mind the one on ESPNEWS or the score, but i wish they would get rid of the ticker on the bottom during live games.. Its distracting and takes away from the amount of the game you can actually see!

I hate the fact that the order of the schools doesn't seem to make any sense - anybody have the decoder ring for what order the schools come up? Is it alphabetical, geographical, by conference, or random?

At one point last year I figured it out to be:
Top 25 IA
IA teams at random or by time (couldnt figure this out)
IAA games by alphabetical order of home team (college name)

But then again I only pay attention to 3 maybe 4 things:
1. Tx State score
2. Top 25 games going on
3. Games I am betting on
4. Southland/DI-AA scores

I like the ESPN college football ticker. Before I had a PC w/ internet, that was how I found out how my favorite teams did. But it's always been strictly I-A and I-AA. The only time D-II and III scores appear are for the NCAA playoffs.

The transfer rule in the NCAA does need some fixing. I don't think players should be allowed to transfer up or at their division level willy-nilly. But there are circumstances that shouldn't force a kid to miss year. The NCAA will grant waivers when a school drops the sport: SMU, Pacific, BU come to mind. None of the kids who transfered sat out a year. However, I really believe that if the head coaching position changes, players should be allowed to transfer without missing year, especially in basketball.
