Baton Rouge is the better option....more seating...LSU's last home game is November 14th against South Carolina...so....that's available. The SEC Championship Game is December 5, in ATL.

As far as I can tell, there's nothing scheduled at Indy Stadium. La Tech is playing out of town, but it's hard to image it would draw as many as Tiger Stadium would.

I'm drooling at the idea of the Classic being in an SEC sized stadium (assuming social distancing isn't an issue). If the weather is nice enough, it might spoil all in attendance, players and fans.

Marginally colder than in Baton Rouge on average, but - occasionally - it'll dip down a lot more....it's only 200 miles, as the crow flies from BR...but, BR is closer to the coast....At that time of the year, we get some fronts that don't make it all the way down there....

Doesn't make sense if you're already limited in tickets due to social distancing.

Shreveport doesn't support sports very well. That's why we can't keep pro and semi-pro teams here for any length of time...The Bayou Classic may be different draw because of the local demographics and the proximity of Grambling and the Dallas Metroplex...

I think the game would do better in Baton Rouge, but ...who knows?

It would be better to use Tiger Stadium. But, it’s Tiger Stadium and there’s plenty of bad blood between the LSU and SU fan bases.

Would they consider keeping it in New Orleans and using the stadium at Tulane? Drawback there is seating capacity relative to the usual attendance of the Bayou Classic.

They'd lose the least amount of money playing in Tiger Stadium though. They would be about to cut Tiger Stadium capacity to about 50% - 60% and still get about 50,000 tickets sold.

New Orleans has said no large social events so that's not possible.

Uh....Tad Gormley is the stadium in City Park, it's still there....you're thinking of the old Sugar Bowl that was on Tulane's campus that was torn down years ago...

Tulane is an a primarily residential neighborhood and non-Tulane use of the facility is discouraged.

Tulane once had a big following in New Orleans but it withered after leaving the SEC. This video shows a sold out crowd flood the field in Tulane's win over LSU in 1973.

Tulane's like every other football playing school in the world. Their attendance hinges upon their won/loss record. In that 73 game against LSU, Tulane had a 9 win season, under Coach Bennie Ellender, one my fellow Sulphurians...Their SEC tenure was marked with only a handful of good seasons.

The other problem with Tulane was getting a parking spot if you went to a game at the old Sugar Bowl. It was in a residential neighborhood. Parking's only marginally better now...At City Park or the Super Dome parking wasn't really an issue...

Tad Gormley stadium is nice for a one off FCS college game or local high school games. It would be an insult to hold the Bayou Classic there, honestly. Nice enough stadium, but not for a marquee national game.
