Jeremy Chinn from SIU is the first FCS pick in 2020. Round 2, pick 64 by the Panthers.

Not trying to violate your edict, but I see that safety Kyle Dugger from D2 Lenoir-Rhyme was picked at #37 by the Patriots. I can't remember the last time that a D2 player was picked that high. And certainly not ahead of any FCS player. He must be pretty good.

Adam Trautman from Dayton drafted in the 3rd round by the Saints as a compensatory selection.

The third day happened very early in the morning here...

5th 171 - Isaiah Coulter Rhody WR by Texans
7th 227 - Lachavious Simmons Tennessee State OL by Bears
7th 231 - Ben DiNucci JMU QB by Cowboys
7th 254 - Derrek Tuszka NDSU DL by Broncos

Overall only 6 picks selected from the FCS this year.

Overall only 6 picks selected from the FCS this year.

Slight surprise because most figured about 10-11 would be drafted but this could be a new norm. It would not shock me if FCS doesn't have more than 10-12 draft picks unless a bunch of FBS programs who truly belong in FCS drop down. Between having almost 2,000 more players in FBS now than back in say 1990 along with the transfer portal and players declaring early I just don't see the numbers going up more than 10 or 11, at most.
