Monroe Beard made a name for himself on the field as a true freshman for the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff football team. Beard led the team in fumble recovery and tied for first in the SWAC Conference with three. Beard has his season-high against Texas Southern with five tackles, 0.5 tackles for loss, and one fumble recovery for eight yards.
