In a memorable season of Spider Basketball, one of the most unforgettable performances was the dominating effort against cross town rival VCU in the Lumber Liquidators Capital City Classic at the Robins Center. The Spiders led from wire-to-wire, all five starters scored in double figures, and the 18-point margin of victory equaled the most in a Spider win in the series. Richmond's home town product, Nick Sherod, led the way with 23 points including five three-pointers and eight rebounds.
