I figured you knew, but I just wanted to bust your balls.:D You ****er, you got me. I remember being taught this back in school when one of our classes was North Dakota State History, they actually taught that back in the day.

Sacagawea, Sakakawea or Sacajawea are all correct. Again, you are just looking for something to complain about that isn't even there. And Pod follows suit with his babble.

And you are wrong about my definition, just looking to argue again.

Thank you for the information about the alternate spelling of the young lady's name. I first learned it as Sacajawea and then later that Sacagawea was considered more accurate. Until today, I had never seen it spelled as Sakakawea (much like never hearing the word Bison pronounced as though the central letter is a 'z' until NDSU became relevant in FCS).

Based on the wiki page, I believe I will now use Sakakawea because that is the closest anglicized spelling to the pronunciation of the original Hidatsa language.

Urban can't get out of his own way. I wonder if he'll ultimately resign before he ever coaches a game in Jacksonville?

I think she forever ruined the national anthem. Her rendition was perfect and as far as someone can take that song vocally IMO. Most everyone else since then butchers it because either they try and outdo her, or they’re not talented enough to do what she did. Every once in a while we hear a great version like Lady Gaga a few years ago before the Broncos/Panthers super bowl but far too often it’s cringe inducing.

Agreed. The problem with the "Star Spangled Banner" is that it is a terrible piece of music to sing. It is why so many people struggle with its so many swings of notes. I think the tune was basically a drinking song back in the early 19th century. It's a great poem, but someone needs to write different music to it. I would much prefer "America the Beautiful" or "God Bless America". Of course, the first needs to be sung by Ray Charles, and the latter by Kate Smith!xdrunkyx

(I will keep this thread active until the Combine. I will post a 2021 thread after that.)

Wentz goes to a team with an O-Line and coach he has worked well with, and a playoff team.

Super excited for Wentz... feels like a cloud was lifted off of him from a fan's perspective... I can only imagine how liberating it must feel for him.

I'm as biased as it gets here but I think the Eagles sold low and the Colts bought low. It's going to be interesting looking back at how this deal shakes out on both sides in a few years.

I said it when he was benched. He needs to get out of Philly. It was an awful situation. Definitely glad it finally got worked out.

The Colts made so much sense for everybody.

Probably not a better spot for him. That team is built to go deep in the playoffs with the right QB.

Actually, I crawled off the Eagle train shortly after the Super Bowl, simply could not look myself in the mirror any more.

So we will soon see if Wentz qualifies as a "right QB" or if his college success and acclaim was merely a product of playing for a dominant team.

Many here think it's the former; I tend to believe the latter. Wentz has a chance to prove me wrong.

You may or may not be a Philly fan, but most Philly fans I've seen post, think it's the former also.

NDSU had two other QBs that had just as much success during this modern championship run and went on to be an insurance agent and a backup NFL QB. Most NDSU fans realize success at NDSU or any dominant college program is not indicative of success in the NFL.

We even have a potentially first round QB this year in Trey Lance. You can check my post history, but I was one of the first Wentz stans that was talking about Wentz back his junior year when people thought I was crazy that I thought he'd even be drafted. I don't share the same excitement about Lance. I will root for him like all other NDSU guys, but imo he's too raw. He's not ready for the NFL.

With that being said I think with Wentz you can exclude his college time. He's had 5 seasons in the NFL, and here's a quick history.

2016 - Rookie year/started all 16 games.
2017 - Set the Eagles record for TD passes in a season and almost led the league despite missing the final three games due to injury (Eagles won the SB)
2018 - Missed 5 games due to injuries (Eagles make the playoffs)
2019 - Back to healthy, Wentz set the Eagles record for passing yards in a season (Eagles make the playoffs)
2020 - Poor season (Eagles miss the playoffs) Wentz is benched then traded for poor performance.

I'll admit 2020 is quite hard to explain, but there's enough history there to at least optimisticly look at that as a fluke.

From what I've seen it seems to be a 50/50 split.
