COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.— Freshman forward Shane Pinto was recognized as the National Collegiate Hockey Conference's Rookie of the Month Wednesday after a standout month that saw him take the team lead in goals (16). Pinto's latest goal propelled North Dakota to its third Penrose Cup in the seven years of the league when his overtime winner against Western Michigan clinched the regular season title for UND.
