Landover, Md. (Feb. 28) --- Action resumed on Day 2 of the MEAC Indoor Championships. The highlight of the day for Delaware State was provided by Senior Precious Igwebuike. Igwebuike and the coaching staff entered the championships with the expectations that she would win a medal, and that is exactly what she did. The Maryland native scored a personal best 3366 points in the Pentathlon. In the six events; she finished third in the 60 meter hurdles (9.22 seconds), third in the high jump (1.67 meters) third in the shotput (11.03 meters) first in the long jump (5.34 meters) and fourth in the 800 meters with a personal best time of 2-minutes-37.12 seconds (2:37.12). Her third place performance scored six points for the Lady Hornets putting them at nine points thus far in the competition.
