UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. -- Richmond junior guard Jacob Gilyard is one of 10 semifinalists for the 2020 Naismith Men's Defensive Player of the Year award, the Atlantic Tip-Off Club announced on Thursday. Gilyard, who leads the nation with 3.14 steals per game this season, was the only semifinalist from outside the high-major conferences.
