Former William and Mary star quarterback Lang Campbell has returned to a starting role, taking over with the Austin Wranglers of the Arena Football League.
He enjoyed his best day as a pro last Saturday, completing 19-of-30 for 250 yards for eight touchdowns with no interceptions as the Wranglers set a team record for points in an 82-54 rout of the host New York Dragons on the 50-yard field at Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale.
Campbell began the season as the second-string quarterback for the Wranglers, based in Texas' capital city, and he got his opportunity to play when Austin waived starter Adrian McPherson, a former Florida State quarterback, May 7.
