RICHMOND, Va. – The University of Richmond men's lacrosse team opened the 2020 season and was looking to make a statement to start the season, but the Spiders suffered a 14-13 double overtime loss to No. 4 Maryland Saturday afternoon in front of a crowd of 2,089 fans at Robins Stadium. Maryland out-scored the Spiders 6-2 in the fourth quarter to force extra time and the Terrapins got the game-winning goal after 5:48 of tense scoreless play in overtime had expired to improve to 2-0 on the season.
