BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – Friday afternoon Gardner-Webb softball split the season home opener in the AmericaInn Gardner-Webb softball tournament. The Runnin' Bulldogs nearly swept Maryland Eastern Shore in the first game with a score of 19-1, Gardner-Webb. In the second game Gardner-Webb came up short with a final score of 9-5, Canisus.
