How bout Michelle Wie quitting the 1st round of a woman's event yesterday that might've gotten her suspended from the Tour for the year. Apparently the LPGA has a rule that if non-Tour members shoot an 88 or worse they are out for the remainder of the season. Wie thru 16 holes was probably gonna shoot an 88 or worse & quit claiming injury.

Guess she won't be on the men's tour anytime soon....

I saw this earlier this morning on SI. She really needs to figure out some stuff before she starts playing on tour full time. Her head isn't in the right place to play competitive golf.

She made like 20 million or something last year so it doesn't really matter what she does anymore she's set for life anyway.

If was about to shoot 88 I'd walk off the course too. I'm going for 72 this afternoon... it's been a while since I shot an even round, but I feel it coming. My only concern is I'm sore as crap from an ice hockey game last night... if I can get enough Advil in me I should be OK.

If Michelle keeps pulling things like this, she and Ryan Leaf will be mentioned in the same sentense. She needs to stick to the LPGA and make her mark there instead of trying to make a mens cut. Too bad, she can play.

P.S. there is a contest where you can win a day with Natalie Gulbis and play 18 holes with her in North Carolina.. xthumbsupx

Michelle Wie is a joke!

Until you dominate womens golf,(she never will)
stay the **** off the mens tour.

If Annika can't do it, Wie sure as hell won't.xnonono2x xnonono2x

The golf is actually in South Carolina, in Myrtle Beach (not that I really care either way!) I believe that the contest has now ended, as I couldn't find a link on the Golf Channel website.

If I ever shot an even round I'd be jumping for joy. I average around 85 or so, so I'd have to do something drastic.

BINGO........................... xlolx

There is a girl on the LPGA her age and a 16 year old hawaiian boy on the PGA that have actually won.xlolx

Wie can't even get through qualifing lately without passing out or getting "hurt" when shat ain't going her way.

She's basically pi$$ed her carear away participating in her circus tour. xsmhx
Lot of money made but she is the Anna K of Golf. xlolx

I don't think she is Gulbis hot, but I wouldn't call her ugly. I would say what Bob would say here, but I don't want a strike.:(

You can have all the game in the world, but if you don't have mental control of your game, it doesn't matter.

Since this isn't the first time she's given up, I can only assume she doesn't have the mental fortitude to deal with adversity which is a shame. But, the fairways are lined with players who could play but couldn't handle the pressure so there's not really any shame in that.

I think she spent too much time trying to promote herself instead of getting her game right first, so maybe the Kournakova reference isn't that far off.
