Living in the great state of Florida I'm surrounded by fans of different colleges. Most are ok but the Gators take the cake. Who do you think are the most annoying?

I vote Notre Dame. I can see cheering for the regional team (usually Ohio State or Michigan here), but Notre Dame? Come on.

Being a Florida fan I voted UF simply because the Nuts of Ohio State were not a choice and I know UF fans are pretty bad sometimes. xoopsx

It's gotta be UNC-Chapel Hell. All you ever hear is "Just wait until basketball season." Although, about 4 years ago, UNC was really down. I enjoyed telling all my Tar Hole friends to "Just wait until women's soccer."

My wife is a Gator alum, so imagine getting text messages at 2 AM after the game reading "It's great to be a Florida Gator!" and getting mass emails from her old Gator Guide friends.

To continue the regional trend I think all JMU fans will agree with me that Tech and UVa fans are the worst in Virgina. (no surprise there)

Definitely Notre Dumb. They rely completely on their glorious past for bragging rights, even though they haven't done ***** in recent years.

Yall gotta hear the Alabama fans down here talk. They think the college football owes them something. Hell they still feel as if they shouldnt go out a recruit kids because they're Alabama and that speaks for itself. All you hear is the Bear this and the Bear that, and we did this and we did that, yadda yadda yadda!xcoffeex They get on my nerves!xrolleyesx And they're crazy about Saban. Talk radio here comments on EVERYTHING he does. "Well Nick what do you think Nick Saban will eat for lunch today"? Its down right crazy.

Georgia fans are so obnoxious, they are even bad in non-revenue sports. I covered Georgia in the NCAA tennis tournament and those fans had no clue about proper tennis etiquette. They barked during and after points and they even threw dog biscuits around.

Georgia has a pretty decent tennis facility though, I camped there a few years when Manuel Diaz was there coach. Edit: I don't know if he still is the coach.

Grow up in a town that is predominantly Irish-Catholic & you will see how obnoxious Notre Dame fans are. They get my vote hands down.

I voted other. I live near the Connecticut border and attended a few UCONN games after they entered the Big Least. With few exceptions, I feel their fans are a bunch of clueless idiots who don't even understand football. They know where the beer stand is and that is about it.
Never again.

Miami (FL) fans are nothing to write home about, and front-runners to boot.
Rutgers fans were also awful for much of the 80's and 90's (unbelievably, Rutgers Stadium could be a very unpleasant place to root either for Rutgers or its opponents) but, like everything else, fan behavior has improved markedly under Greg Schiano.

Iowa State Cyclones.
Dear God, nothing is worse than fans bragging about their team when their team happens to be the Cyclones. Seriously, the somehow create illusions in their mind that they actually compete for the Big 12 in every sport.
The Hawkeyes are next, but at least their team occasionally backs up their fans statements.

USC by far (IMHO). Every time I hear that marching band play tribute to Troy it makes me want to throw up.

Florida xxxturds by a landslide. They were obnoxious, classless, and evil when they lost at everything. Now that they are on a roll it is simply unbearable.
I attended a LSU/UF football game in Gainesville a few years ago with an ex-teammate of mine who played football at LSU. We tailgated with Charlie McClendon (the nicest fellow!) and security had to protect our tailgate from the drunk gayturds who were throwing stuff, spitting, and cursing at any and everything LSU.
I attended a UT/UF game a few years ago at Gainesville. Sitting on my right next to me was a drunk female xxxturd with her drunk obnoxious husband on her right. During the action she jumped from her seat to cheer. On her way up she ripped my walkman radio from my belt and it shattered on the pavement. I then turned to her husband and said, "She broke mine, you need to give me yours to replace it." I was answered with a big "F-you" and he got up, reached across his wife and put his hands on my throat. I jumped up and hit him once with a right uppercut that he never saw and presumably knocked him out as he collapsed in a pool of blood. I ran for the exits and got away.
I could name about 50 more incidents similar to this that my family and friends have experienced but I think y'all get the drift.

A little more about the idiot UCONN fans. A group of them have a "tradition" of lining up where the visiting team fans buses pull in (not the visiting players but the visiting FANS) and throwing beer at the buses and yelling at the fans as they get off. I went to a Syracuse game and they didn't even spare the young children of this shameful behavior. What these moronic fools don't realize is that this has costed them in some ways. There are some OOC schools who have refused to play UCONN at Rentschler Field due to the actions of these idiot "fans". Obviously Big Least teams don't have a choice but OOC teams do. So the bottom line is these douchebags are hurting their own home schedule thus hurting the program. But the way I see it, it couldn't happen to a better team.

That might be one of the dumbest things I have ever heard. The admin needs to step up and do something about that PRONTO

HA! Don't bet on it. I sent two e-mails to their A.D. about fan behavior at Rentschler Field and only got a response to the second one, it stated that they had received my first one.
UCONN football fans IMO are the worst fans in all of sports BUT they also have some deep pockets at least when it comes to UCONN football. Like I said, I just avoid the place. Here again, let the morons ruin their own program; fine by me.

I voted for Notre Dame with a slight edge over Ohio State...ND still has some kind of 'god complex' as if HE cares who wins a football game...OSU I got to see up close while a three year resident in Michigan. Being an 'outsider' with no allegiance, I saw a crass/crude arrogance that was at a level above even the most fervent "Blue" or "State" fan..

I'd love to hear some concrete evidence of how Notre Dame fans are the most annoying. "Most annoying fans" is not "team you hate the most." By almost all accounts, Notre Dame fans are as good as it gets for both games in South Bend and on the road (with Tennessee, Nebraska and the like). Some ND fans complain home games are too pleasant an experience for visiting fans - it should be more intimidating

As Florida grad Orson on EDSBS put it on his first trip to ND last fall:
4. Notre Dame is Wimbledon. That’s the best pinpoint accurate summary of what it the general environment at a Notre Dame football game is for an SEC fan. The first thing striking you at a Notre Dame game is the order, the sheer Midwestern, patient, polite order of the whole thing. In contrast, the first thing that strikes you at an SEC game may be the fist of an opposing fan, or perhaps the overwhelming aroma of whiskey off a tottering 55-year old passing you. It’s not just a different vibe, or different ethos–it’s an entirely different society and way of watching the game. If Ben Hill Griffin Stadium is the U.S. Open–where doing the wave, watching a replay on a jumbotron, and hollering like you’re being stung by a horde of merciless insects is de rigeur–then Notre Dame is Wimbledon, an intense and mannered environment where tradition rules with only the most obvious concessions to the postmodern football world included.

Annoying? Duck fans have to be near the top. When they're winning, they feel that the whole nation should bow to the mighty Oregon Ducks and they should be the number one team in the nation. When they're losing, they go on and on about how the team sucks and that they will never win another game this year. Then try telling them about other Oregon schools and how well those teams are doing and you're answered with "I'm talking about real football."
Beaver fans are not quite that bad. They just look at the score and say "Golly gee wow!! We're winning. Imagine that."
My tolerance for Duck football wanes after they lose their third game (around mid-October). After that, their fans just give me a big headache.
