BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- Pat Sullivan, former Samford University head football coach and Auburn football icon, died peacefully at home on Dec. 1 at the age of 69. Sullivan was diagnosed with cancer in 2003 and fought a long and difficult battle as a result of his treatment.
