and we have been back for awhile and not Serena has one 9 straight games to win the 2nd 6-1 and into the 3rd leading 3-0. (She lost the first 7-5)

I really hope Fed can pull out the win this year. If does, he'll have a realistic shot at winning at least 7 slams in a row! xeekx That alone would give him the crown of best ever. xbowx xbowx

Of all the places they play tennis, that's the one I hate the most. clay is dull, the French are obnoxious, and the success rate is practically zero.

Yes, the frogs are obnoxious, but I find clay-court tennis pretty interesting to watch. There's a lot more thinking and strategy involved than on hard courts, and the American men showed they just weren't capable of that. You can't just smash your way to the title like Roddick did at the US Open (and every other tournament he's won).

It was insane how quickly he put his foot on the gas and just steamrolled Robredo, especially after losing a set 1-6.

Nadal is taking on his childhood idol Carlos Moya for the last semifinal spot. The winner will join Roger Feder, Nikolai Davydenko, and Novak Djokovic in the semis

While not Nadal or Fed, Djokovic and Daveydenko are the 6 and 4 (and has been 3) players in the world. Unless you consider everyone but Nadal and Fed as nobodys (which may be fair), those two are at least somebodys

While I'm a fan of Federer, Nadal is looking more and more unstoppable at Roland Garros. Fed is going to have to play a very attacking style of tennis to beat him in the final. If he stays back and tries to beat him from the baseline, he doesn't stand a chance.

NDSUFREAK
June 6th, 2007, 07:13 PM
I sure hope that Mr. Federer wins the French. He knows he can since he already beat Nadal in a clay court tourney. True, it wasn't Roland Garros, but it was clay.

Either way it should be an entertaining final (assuming they both make it there), neither player is going down without a fight.

This may be the most attractive semi-final ever (I don't mean tennis-wise)

Ane Ivanovic:

Argh, Nadal wins again in 4 sets. It really looked as though Roger had a chance to win it after he took the second set, but then he just went back to trying to win from the baseline, and it was downhill from there. He was also a n unforced error machine, think he had something like 60 for the match. xeekx
Oh well, on to Wimbledon...

Watched through the second set, but couldn't 'devote' more time to it. Looked like it was going to be long match. Surprised Federer collapsed, cause it looked like he had figured out a plan in the second set...
