2000 SWT Media Guide on I-A Move

Amazing, isn't?

Then Southwest Texas State (now Texas State University - San Marcos) actually had in their 2000 media guide about a move to I-A, now known as FBS.

This has been posted on the BobcatFans board before, but thought I'd share. An interesting read from the official publication of the then-SWT athletic department...

looks like we're like a car stuck in neutral. i, for one, am glad we haven't decided to move up (dunno what the results of this d1june thing will be, but i just hope for the best, i.e. us staying in FCS), so it's kind of a blessing in disgiuse.

we've got the facilities upgrades (still more to come), so i think we're headed in the right direction whether the goal is to move laterally to FBS or to just keep up with the Jones' in FCS.

7 years and only the Texas St. name change, FBS seems like it's in the same spot as 7 years ago.
