He was airlifted from the site of the crash, according to what I've read. Apparently he's not in great shape... hoping for the best!
As far as we know he remains in critical condition. His GoFundMe is over $27k last I saw. Prayers are needed.

Our latest update yesterday says that Sema'J remains in critical but stable condition. He ended up with a broken femur, a broken clavicle and a major closed head injury with cerebral bleeding. Because of the increased intercranial pressure they have had to keep him sedated and on the vent until all of the swelling goes down. That is usually a slow process. He ended up testing positive for COVID in the hospital as well, so that keeps the family away. Hopefully time and prayers will continue his healing. He remains in the hospital in Fort Worth.

Finally a home game today!
Finally a game in the near future.....This going weeks and weeks between games is killing us as fans. So far. the SFA game seems to be on. I would imagine that would be re-evaluated after COVID numbers come out Monday/Tuesdayish. We are of the impression that current numbers are down though and hope that trend continues through the week. Hopefully the Lumberjacks are testing negative as well. I am SO ready for a game. I won't make any kind of prediction though. SFA and ACU tend to play each other well and I won't draw too many conclusions from common opponents. The trouble with us is simply lack of playing time. At least the Lumberjacks have been on the field fairly consistently. I just want a good day of football, and if played, I will probably be there. I like the DFW area match-up. I would still like to see that more routinely.

If history tells us anything, it should be fun.
2019: @ACU:31; SFA 24 (2OT)
2018: SFA:24; ACU:21
2017: SFA:20; @ACU:10
2016: SFA:41; ACU:30
2015: @ACU:35; SFA:32
2014: ACU:37; SFA:35
No matter how bad SFA is, we always seem to play well against ACU.
After 5 games we still have issues with our OL (which seems to be every year), can't block (giving up 10 sacks) or making lanes for our RBs (3.5 yards per rush), only 2 linemen have played all 5 games as we just patch up units (lost our starting center with left tackle and guard playing hurt as well) to put on the field each week.
Our QB Trae Self is struggling with accuracy
Pass Completion %
UTEP 66.7%
UTSA 63.6%
SMU 60.9%
West Texas 52.0%
Angelo State 40.7%
and throwing picks (at least 1 a game)
19-61 on 3rd down conversions, leaving the defense on the field way too long.
Our 1 bright spot on offense is WR: Xavier Gipson 22 catches 452 yards and 4TDs and a PR for a TD. If you take him out of the equation or double team him we are done.
The defense can shine at time, but struggle with 3rd down conversions 41-80 (51.25%)
Our Defensive ends have played well after 5 games with Baylor transfer BJ Thompson 6-6; 210 being all he was advertised and becoming the vocal leader of the defense TKL:15;TFL:4.5;SCK:2.0;INT:1;QBH:1 and returning starter Amad Murray 6-3; 245TKL:17;TFL:5.5;SCK:1.0;QBH:3 has picked up where he left off last season.
We got a true freshman DT Caleb Fox 6-2; 310 coming into his own TKL:8;TFL:3.5;SCK:1.5 and a linebacking unit lead by Brevin Randle 5-11; 228 TKL:34;TFL:4.0;SCK:1.5;FR:2;BU:1;INT:1 that can really get after it.

Which is why I can't make any predictions. We improved between game one and two, but I worry that we lost our momentum. Mansell is finding his way into our system and our receivers are doing a good job as a group. Our running back depth is lacking. So far our line play on both sides has been decent. I have been impressed with what I am seeing from our LBs and secondary. I just need to see some consistency. Agree, it should be a good game.

Here’s my prediction- If SFA plays like they did against Angelo State ACU will embarrass the Jacks.
Alas, I don’t see that happening. SFA will bring their A game.

Stephen F. Austin QB Trae Self
Self capped a career game with a 16-yard TD pass in OT to lift SFA past Abilene Christian, 35-32. He set career highs for total offensive yards (374) and total TDs (four), also throwing two TDs in the final 2:23 of regulation.

It was #1 McNeese vs. #3 SFA
The Cowboys won 34-16 and went on to a 13-1 season and a trip to the NCAA semifinals.
SFA also went on to make the other semifinals game and ended the year 11-2.
It was the second best season in SFA football history.
We beat Northern Iowa, Youngstown State, Appalachian State, and Eastern Illinois that season.
Gene Chizik was the SFA DC at the time.

A good day for the SLC over-all. Yes, two of the wins were against far lesser teams but they were blow out wins as they should have been.

Would love to see the Blue Hens on SLU’s schedule one day. We have recent history with CAA teams in the playoffs, wouldn’t mind a regular season home-and-home if things ever get back close to normal.

I think that would be a great match up ... would love to see it, and besides you know I need to make up to Hammond one day

What we also need is a KC Keeler v. Delaware home and home. That would be sweet. Are there still Keeler loyalists amongst the Blue Hen faithful?

Yes, always has been and growing by the day as the years go by with negative results... he was fired after the 2012 season, had Brock for 4 disasters and now Rip Van Rocco is putting the fan base to sleep, but we do have a upgraded beautiful renovated Delaware Stadium

Remember that game, My greatest job of sandbagging ever. It was on the old AOL Div-1-AA messageboard. Days before the game, I had the Deleware fans so convinced they were a sure win that they were arguing with the Marshall fans who was going to win the Semifinal game after they had dispatched McNeese. The same fans later the next week were complaining that McNeese ran up the score on them. Fun times back then. ;)
