I ran across an Iowa State Teachers College year book from 1946. It had these pictures from the 1945 football season. Thought you guys might like to see them. First time posting pics, so hopefully it works right.

I thought they were pretty cool. Hoping to run across more yearbooks.
I have a program from the late 60s. it was a game against North Dakota. It was our first year as Northern Iowa. Will try to scan it soon.

Good pictures, could have done without the Jackrabbit stew/funeral though. I think you'll find Bison stew a little more to your liking. :D

Only a thirty-seven man squad - and no face masks.

very interesting. I'm sure I can find some more stuff if I look around. I would guess the school library might have old yearbooks?

Love the old school leather hat-on-hat single platoon glory days. When I was an undergrad at Minnesota we had a wide selection of many decades of yearbooks from across the country in the library - it was a gold mine. Flipped through those things for many evenings.

Not sure if the stands are steep enough. would keep the fans from the action. Was curious how many it held and what the other side was like. Would be fun to have an outdoor stadium(when it's not 5 degrees and sleeting.)

O.R. Latham Stadium had 6,000 permanent seats with 2,000 temporary bleachers.
The parking lot just behind Schindler Education Center is where the stadium once stood.

That is the link to Rod Library's page on the stadium.
They have a page like this (full of pictures and history) over ever at the UNI campus. It's a pretty cool place actually.
Here's where you go for other buildings. Concepts for the Towers and the UNI-Dome are particularly interesting. http://www.library.uni.edu/speccoll/unifacts.html#Build
