GRAND FORKS, N.D.-- An unbeaten National Collegiate Hockey Conference record (5-0-1) and an impressive 10-1-2 overall record have helped North Dakota fly up the national polls, landing third this week in the USCHO.com and USA Hockey Magazine/USA Today polls, released Monday. UND is fresh off a weekend sweep of St. Cloud State to stretch its unbeaten streak to nine and a home winning stretch of 11 in a row, dating back to last season.
