Here's this week's poll article: http://thefcswedge.com/ags-poll/ags-poll-week-13-selection-sunday-top-25-results/
My thoughts:
Overall pretty good but I think Weber St should be in front of Sac St and will be when the bracket is revealed in a couple hours.
I don't see what keeps propping up Villanova. They had a ridiculously soft non-conference schedule, a bad loss in conference to Stony Brook, and their only win over a team with a winning record was over Towson who is not out of the top 25 and likely out of the playoffs.
On the flip side Monmouth deserves to be higher (as I've said for the last 3 weeks). Flip Monmouth and Villanova in this poll and I think it's really damn good.

The at-large field according to AGS:
1. Sac St (3)
2. Montana St (5)
3. Northern Iowa (6)
4. Montana (7)
5. Villanova (8)
6. South Dakota St (9)
7. Central Arkansas (11)
8. Southeast Missouri St (12)
9. Illinois St (13)
10. Furman (17)
11. North Dakota (18)
12. Albany (20)
13. Southeastern Louisiana (22)
14. Kennesaw St (23)
First out
Southern Illinois (24)
South Carolina St (29)
Towson (30)
Eastern Washington (31)
Tennessee-Martin (32)
New Hampshire (33)
Only 9 points separated Kennesaw St from SIU so that was a very tight margin right on the key part of the bubble according to the AGS consensus.

:D Yea, maybe but I use my prior polls as a basis for my poll the next week, I had dropped them a ways during the year and they worked their way back up. It is really tough from 10 and down. I scorched ISUr this week, they are beyond bad at this point, I didn't realize that a mediocre Davis as QB was the MVP of the MVFC until he got hurt. Wow, are they horrible on offense. I think the MVFC, outside of NDSU, is really weak now. SDSU and ISUr are really hurting due to injuries. If SDSU gets fed to UND, they will lose big up there.

Alright, let's just cut through this bull**** real quick so you can stop.
SOS:
-Wofford: 75
-SCSU: 102
Massey:
-Wofford: 16
-SCSU: 49
Sagarin:
-Wofford: 13
-SCSU: 59
D1 Wins:
-Wofford: 8
-SCSU: 7
You all played in the 1st week of the season. Do you think it is possible that teams grow and develop over the course of say 12 weeks? Is it possible that going on the road in the first game of the year and losing your top 2 RBs (which accounted for 40% of your TO offense), there might have been a drop off in talent going into the 1st game? These are questions that the voters have taken into consideration and determined that if they were to meet again, they believe Wofford would win this game.
Side Note: If they were to play again, on a Wofford field, SCSU would be -17.5 underdog and a -15 underdog on a neutral field. It's possible that people are biased or maybe they are doing their homework and seeing how things are really breaking out.

Illinois State's offense wasn't great prior to last week. Then they got hit with two key injuries to make matters worse. I have them at 25 after they were in the Top 10 of my poll basically all season.. The Redbirds and Holy Cross will be the two weakest teams in the playoffs imo.

I'd trust most of the voters on here VS STATS and/or Coaches any day of the week and twice on Sundays. Monmouth did not get boat raced by Montana. That was a one score game with 8 minutes left. They played Montana tougher in Missoula than pretty much anyone including Weber St.

I have seen some glimpses of Illi State this year, mid season they had a great D and stud RB.... The starting QB was suspect, I figured they would not be hurt that much by the injury....
The computers obviously are perfect and have no inherent flaws. I'm glad there are people meeting to have these discussions and not solely relying on some algorithm. Talk to anyone that is remotely familiar with AI; there are flaws.
BTW, I'd bet the house on those odds.

Until the Ivies come into the 21st century they can stay off my poll. Play someone outside the PL for a change and challenge themselves. Fact is they don't give a **** so neither do I. Why waste my time watching them play with themselves? They're the ones wanting to maintain a charade.
Yale beat Maine, the FCS semi finalist last year, and beat Richmond this year.... I totally get your take on the Ivies, but that was a pretty entertaining football game yesterday in the Yale bowl..... pretty good team

LOL...Ok, give yourself a hug & pat yourself on the back. I've been on here for a long time (actually six years longer than you xnodx)...mostly reading, and not posting. And yes, I've observe typical bias for a long time.
I’ve observed the bias too. Bias towards teams that play challenging schedules both in and out of conference, pick up a quality win or two, and have a shot at reaching the quarters and beyond.

What, do you have a mirror by your computer screen? NCAT and FAMU were in the AGS poll for most of the year, I had them in mine until these teams took a dive recently. FAMU would still be in the top 25 if they hadn't lost yesterday.
I wasn't referring to that at all...they've been playing well and deserved to be ranked.

R.A. you can't take this serious...I don't. There's so many teams without any credible win EARLY or LATE in the season, but still get voted in the top 25.
R.A. this is a fan poll...take it with a grain of salt.
It's all connected.
The FCS Coaches Poll and the STATS Poll, didn't rank SC State all season long, but they still have Wofford ranked.
The Polls did the a similar thing with A&T and Jacksonville State last year; A&T beat JSU. The next week A&T was ranked 14th, JSU 13th.
Even right now, I can go read STATS/ HERO reporters' opinions about how Southeastern Louisiana should be in the postseason, advocating that their cancelled game versus B-CU would have been their 8th FCS victory; while at the same time those same writers won't even acknowledge that SC State beat Bethune, and they REALLY won't acknowledge that in 2017 Bethune beat Southeastern Louisiana in Louisiana. Those writers could just as easily advocate for a Bethune- Cookman playoff spot saying that Southeastern Louisiana would have been Bethune's 8th FCS victory based upon previous recent history... but those writers won't even acknowledge SC State or Bethune as playoff possibilities.
I haven't read a column yet on why the Bethune/ Southeastern Louisiana game wasn't made up. And the columns that I do read, say things like "Wofford was tinkering with their offense in the SC State Game." The can't even just come out and say it was a hard fought game, SC State won fair and square.
-The FCS Playoffs are rigged ejjones. Many are suggesting that Wofford be seeded, but not even place SC State in the playoffs. It's rigged.
Furman played an NAIA school, Kennesaw State played TWO NAIA Schools, but these are two schools projected to get in ahead of SC State. HOW? The MEAC takes flak for DII games. The NAIA is below DII, and teams from other conferences can schedule them and still somehow get more playoff consideration that the MEAC schools? The game's rigged.
The FCS Community is showing us that they'll do anything to keep the MEAC from rising. There are too many recent examples to mention them all.
If SC State gets in, they'll be the last team in, and they'll probably be on the road in the first round... But that's a big if. Because the MEAC dropped their bid (and did exactly what these FCS folks who hate us wanted us too do), we have ZERO advocates on the selection committee.
But it's good to see that the strong programs in the MEAC haven't quit and are still playing the FCS Post-season game. Bethune, A&T, SC State, and FAMU...

You all played in the 1st week of the season.
So lets start right there.
After the first game of the first week of the season, when all you had to judge SC State and Wofford was the game in which SC State beat Wofford, was SC State placed ahead of Wofford at that time?? The answer is no.
You didn't need computers to tell you after the game, which team was better. SC State already proved it on the field, YET NONE OF THE POLLS RANKED SC STATE AHEAD OF WOFFORD AFTER THE FIRST GAME!
Do you think it is possible that teams grow and develop over the course of say 12 weeks? These are questions that the voters have taken into consideration and determined that if they were to meet again, they believe Wofford would win this game.
Fine, but AGAIN, after Week One, when SC State beat Wofford, SC State STILL WAS NOT PLACE AHEAD OF WOFFORD. If SC State is 1-0, and Wofford is 0-1, and SC STATE BEAT WOFFORD to become 1-0, and Wofford lost to SC State to become 0-1; HOW CAN WOFFORD STILL BE RANKED AHEAD OF SC STATE??
Side Note: If they were to play again, on a Wofford field, SCSU would be -17.5 underdog and a -15 underdog on a neutral field. It's possible that people are biased or maybe they are doing their homework and seeing how things are really breaking out.
I watched Wofford play Mercer, Furman, and The Citadel. Even with home field advantage, in a fair game; SC State's defense severely limits Wofford's offense. You can use the odds, but they were already wrong. You can use the computers, they were already wrong. You can use the rankings, they were already wrong. SC State's defense is serious. Wofford scores 20 points MAX versus SC State. And if SC State scores anything more that 20 versus Wofford, which they've already proven they can do, they'll beat Wofford again.

I wasn't referring to that at all...they've been playing well and deserved to be ranked.I haven't had a chance to watch SC State this year, I have watched NCAT, and FAMU and had both of them in the teens in my poll this year. The MEAC has some pretty good teams this year, you have 3 or 4 teams beating each other and it gets real tough to rank them, hell, NCAT, FAMU and SC State are almost in a statistical tie in my mind.
Just curious, how would you rank these three, I basically had it FAMU/SC State/NCAT That Morgan State loss for NCAT was a killer.

AGS nails the at-large field (as does the STATS poll). Seeds were a bit off (got 6 of 8 seeds right and the bottom 3 seeds were a few seed lines off).
I actually liked the commitee's top 8 better than AGS'.

Please explain SIU being so low. 5 wins in a row, played NDSU well, has a weak FBS win, no bad loss. That at least gives them a top 20, I think they are probably in the 10-15 range.
Edit: 1 loss is to a FBS team.
