Business as usual for Ball

"Free agency provides a benefit getting drafted does not — options. You pick the team; the team does not pick you. Former University of New Hampshire receiver David Ball tried to take advantage of that role reversal by signing with the Chicago Bears, who did not draft a receiver.

Given all he accomplished at UNH, including breaking Jerry Rice's NCAA Division I-AA record for career touchdown catches, Ball's ego must have taken a hit when he didn't hear his name called during the recent two-day NFL Draft."

Anybody have any updates on how D. Ball did this past weekend at the full squad mini-camp in Chicago? Sounds like Devin Hester made a huge splash on offense which has to scare all WR's trying to make the team.

To Mr "Know It All" who said not getting drafted was a death wish. Good work on Ball's part...he could have easily been drafted by a team stacked with WR's and had no chance at making their team.
