NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Yale University Athletics and ESPN has announced the game time and network for the 136th meeting of "The Game." The Bulldogs will play its season finale at the Yale Bowl on Saturday, November 23, against Harvard at 12 p.m., Noon ET, on ESPNU.

A capacity crowd is expected for the final matchup of the season in New Haven and fans who cannot make The Game can watch on a linear network with the contest broadcast live on ESPNU.

Have they declared certain sections off limits? When I was up there a couple years ago, I don't recall any areas that were 'unusable'. I thought it held 80,000 at one point?

well if you buy the 12 dollar general admission ticket you cannot go inside the roped off area and are forced to pick one of the 64,000 empty seats......

From what I understand, and I haven't been there since 2000, some renovations removed seats around the top and lowered the capacity.

The official capacity was traditionally 70,000. They squeezed more people in by putting bleachers at field level the few times it was necessary years ago.

well for the Cornell game, I should of just counted the people in the stadium, a rough guess would be 1,500 but I admit the vastness of the place could cause underestimate

In 2007, Harvard and Yale were both undefeated in Ivy play going into The Game, and Yale hadn’t lost any game all year. Even in that winner-take-all scenario, only 57,000 found their way through the Yale turnstiles. This year, The Game doesn’t have that significance. I had guessed 35,000 earlier, but bulldog’s 45,000 may be more accurate if the weather holds up.
