McCowboys

The Demons of Northwestern State (1-7; 1-4) make the trek south to Lake Charles to take on the Cowboys of McNeese (5-4; 3-3). Both teams seem to be improving each week. It is a game most people have written off due to the records of the two teams. Don't tell this to the Demons and Cowboys as there is no love lost between the two schools on the football field.
Northwestern has played very well in its last two games, a one point loss at home (due to a failed two-point conversion) to UCA and an upset OT win on the road at UIW.
The Cowboys are on a streak having played and won two homecoming games (at home and at SFA), have won two in a row for the first time since last year, and won a game on the road for the first time, also since last year. (The series between SFA and McNeese has been a strange one with McNeese now having won four straight at Homer Bryce Stadium and the visiting team has won 7 out of the last 8 contests.)

McNeese vs. Northwestern State - The Series
• Saturday's game will be the 69th meeting between the Cowboys and Demons with McNeese holding a 46-21-1 lead in the all-time series.
• McNeese has dominated the series lately, having won 13 straight games before losing a double OT heartbreaker in Natchitoches last season.
• Northwestern has not won in Lake Charles since 1988!
Throw the record books out the window!
