Unfortunately at this point for Ricky....who cares anymore? xconfusedx
He's been pretty much a non-factor on the field for several year now. It's a shame. He had the makings to be a great one. xsmhx xsmhx

Reminds me of the Cheech and Chong movie, "Up in Smoke"

Up in smoke
Thats where my money goes
In my lungs
and sometimes up my nose
When troubled times
Begin to bother me
I take a toke
and all my cares
Go up in smoke

There should be a new league formed, the JFL.

Jackass Football League

Charter Members would include:
Ricky
Pac Man Jones
The Vick Brothers
The Whole Bengal Team
Randy Moss
Terrell Owens
Ryan Leaf

...feel free to add more names to our new league.

Ricky..........................Just childish.
The lovable loser that ain't hurting nobody but himself.

Pac Man Jones.............Wanna Be Player/baller/thug.
How you gonna "Make it Rain" $70 grand on a strip club stage and then tell your boy's to go get it back from the ladies. xlolx

The Vick Brothers..............Alright............just doing stupid shat.

The Whole Bengal Team......................Can't disagree with this.

Randy Moss..................Want's attention.
The shat he has done has mostly been juvinile stunt's.

Terrell Owens.................. A spoiled baby like Terry Glenn USED TO BE.
Maybe he will grow out of it like Terry did.

Ryan Leaf..................MAJOR BUST.
Wonder if people still say he's better than Payton Manning.
I'll never forget that bullshat during that draft. xlolx

He fell apart at the end of his career (to put it mildly), but Mike seems kind of low to be at 50. xconfusedx Same for Roy Jones Jr.

TO's much closer to the end of his career than the beginning of it, if he hasn't grown out of it by now, he never will.

Yep..........................Glenn got all prema-donna real early.
He would have been a HOF candidate by now if he didn't dang near get himself blackballed out the NFL.
Glad he turned thing's around.

I predict a Major meltdown in Big D this year.
We all know who coaching that team this year and it ain't Wade Phillip's. (wink, wink).

I'll give T.O. 5 games and then the Romo/T.O saga gonna start and poor ole Wade ain't gonna be able to do nothing about it.

Think aboutthe possibilities if he ever does make it back to the NFL. All the QB would have to do in the huddle is tell Ricky there is a blunt in the endzone and its a guaranteed TD every time.

Better yet, the Dolphins could trade him to Atlanta and he could share the same backfield with Michael Vick.

That would bring new meaning to the phrase "Puff, Puff, Pass".

I don't think that Williams is nearly as bad as those other guys in the aforementioned "JFL". The others seem to give the game of football a bad name, whereas Williams doesn't seem to as much. It seems like he's mostly just viewed as joke bait and not too much more (in the general public). I understand why its not a good thing to let a famous athlete and potential role-model for young kids smoke weed without penalty, but I'm always surprised by the very negative view on the drug by others when alcohol is so very popular in the mainstream. That's a whole different discussion though.

Why can't Williams just stay in the CFL? Isn't marijuana less of/not a big deal in that league? Maybe that's just a rumor.

No, no, no. Not the CFL! He should go play with NFL Europe and sign with the AMSTERDAM ADMIRALS (http://www.nfleurope.com/teams/AMS)!

I'm guessing since they are affiliated, he couldn't play there either

wait, I thought pot wasn't addictive??

Mr. C
May 12th, 2007, 04:53 PM
WHO CARES? If the NFL worried as much about HGH and the criminals in the league as it does pot, they would solve a lot more problems. Why not put that much emphasis on the alcohol problem in the league? I don't hear people bashing the alcoholics in the NFL like they do Ricky.

BigApp
May 12th, 2007, 07:12 PM
I agree with you in theory C, but the problem is the substance you're referring to (alcohol) is legal in this country. Mary-ju-wanna isn't. Thats a big part of the problem here.

It's not physically addictive such as some other drugs, but marijuana is addictive in the same sense as food, sex, or message boards (:D ). It can be habit-forming if you aren't careful.

It's true that it being illegal is a flag for criticism, but I will agree with Mr. C that the alcohol abusers in the league are not criticized harshly enough.
