JSU should have won the OVC last season too. Had it not been for that 1 pt loss to UTM you guys would have won the tiebreaker for the 1 seed.

I think that JSU will also be in the mix this season as well.

If we hadn't got screwed by the refs and their boner for Ja Morant we would have won the OVC tourney.

I was at that game. OVC definitely wanted a big crowd for the championship game and the publicity. Had JSU won there might have been 2000 show up to the game. They also wanted the chance to get 2 bids, which they did. I like that the game is in Evansville since I live in Indiana, but it's a move to keep Murray St happy. Those games are essentially home games for them. They have the fans and bring the conference money. Money is the only reason they even play a conference tournament. Jax St was the better team and had the tournament been in Huntsville for example, JSU would have easily won the game.

I like Murray St but I really want someone else to win the OVC tournament this season; and someone besides Belmont. I think by the end of the season APSU, JSU and UTM will all be good enough to win the tournament. It should be more wide open this season and it will be interesting to see how it all plays out.

Admittedly I threw these together pretty quick, but there is a long ways to go and plenty to be learned about all of these programs. At this point it is anyone's best guess. There will probably be a lot of major shuffling the first several weeks.
