"I mean, he admitted that he used steroids"
Wrong

I mean, there's no gray area. He admitted to cheating on his wife, cheating on his taxes, and cheating on the game

Wrong

Didn't know he was the ultimate moral authority. But, he will get a pass from the press. If he was a Yankee, he would be getting killed. xrolleyesx

Schilling on Bonds...

Bonds has never admitted using steroids - nor ever admitted cheating on his wife - or tax fraud...

I love Schilling on the mound, not so much at the pulpit...xlolx

Curt Schilling has a much higher opinion of his intellect than his mouth is able to verify.

Actually Bonds did admit to taking steroids, just not "knowingly"

I think the reason is because, well, nobody likes Shilling. Simply put, he's an asshole, a blowhard. I remember being with 3 Red Sox fans a few months after the 2004 World Series and them saying something along the lines of "when is this guy going to just shut up and realize Red Sox fans don't like guys like him". And this was right after he helped win the WS for them that year.

I'm the last guy to defend Bonds, but to be specific:
He admited to using what he thought was flaxseed oil, which was actually "the clear" (a type of HGH).

Shilling is a legend in his own mind...Yes, he can be an a$$...but when he takes the mound, he's our a$$hole, who wins games...do I wish he's shut up...HELL YES...but I hope he continues to pitch for us another year or two...xtwocentsx

And the strange thing is most people who have personally met Schilling think he's a great guy and he's great to the fans.

As they say on ESPN Radio every Tuesday:

JUST SHUT UP, CURT!!!!

Curt has apologized for his comments. I hope that Mr. Schilling doesn't have any skeletons in his closet.

I am becoming more of a Bonds cheerleader every day. He certainly seems to have a prickly personality and things like his large head and the whole "clear" controversy are certainly suspicious. But really, isn't anybody suspicious of "40 something" power pitchers who are throwing harder than they did in their 20's? Methinks Bonds might only be one of MANY performance enhancers.

I'm kind of at peace with Barry Bonds right now, and that's coming from an Atlanta Braves fan. Besides, the record will only stand long enough for A-Rod to break it.

Call it steroids, call it Human Growth Hormone (look at the guys head), Barry has taken the stuff & admitted to "the cream" & "the clear". I think it's public knowledge about Barry's infidelity regarding his wife but Curt shoulda probably let that one go.

Curt is from 15 minutes away from where I live & he pitched his heart out for the Fightin's, god bless him, we'd take him back.

Curt Schilling is a total azzhole! I remember back in '93 when the Phils were in the playoffs and series, with cameras directly on Schilling, he would put a towel over his eyes whenever 'closer' Mitch Williams would start his windup. Now, I wasn't a fan of the 'Wild Thing' either, but a teammate should never try to show another one up. That was an embarrassment and I never had any use for Schilling since. xnonono2x

No big deal, everyone in the stands & in their living rooms were doing the same thing.

Well, I was more jumping up and down and cursing at the TV so in that regard Schilling's towel over the head was quite tame by comparison. :p

Towel or no towel, it wouldn't have made Mitch late in the year look any better. xsmhx

True, I 'hated' Mitch, but that wasn't the point. It was all about Schilling, who acted very unprofessionally IMO.xcoolx

Can you say Roger Clemens? I really think he is using some kind of enhancement.
