Same arguments for this one as the STATS Poll. UC Davis and JSU... what are voters thinking? And SHSU over UND makes no sense.

Very over rated.

Weak schedule that will get rewarded with a high speed then an early exit in the playoffs.

Every week I think to myself, "it cannot get any worse from here" and the Coaches Poll never ceases to surprise me.

I think the quality of this poll is evident by the fact that it's so bad that people aren't even posting their incredulity with it. 7 replies (including this one) indicates this has already been relegated to the scrap heap.

isn't this the poll the committee (COACHES Poll) said they use now? wasn't it this poll they named (tv last year)? or was it STATS?

Unfortunately that was this poll that they claim is used by the selection committee. I believe they use it mainly to quantify SOS and quality wins/losses.

Hey go to the game poll from our game....I had a question for you.
Hey .. I finally responded on game thread. You probably won't agree with my assessment. Basically, it was a bad day, and nothing went our way. Offensively, the WR fumble on first pass play did not inspire confidence with a depleted/inexperienced WR group and a skittish pass game. And you guys took advantage for sure. Davis just doesn't have the same confidence in rest of WR group yet., And yes, our defense was spotty for sure, but I thought played ok overall during the first 8 drives of game ... but you guys found holes and made some big plays that broke our spirit. To that point, you only had 240 total yards, and first downs were about even .. but we were down 23-3 and our offense just wasn't clicking.

Your defense seems faster than usual. And I think that overwhelmed our already skittish pass attack and young WR group. And I think that is why game snowballed. The scary part about your team is that it is pretty young ... noticed a lot of SO starters.

Anyway, it was a bad day at the office for ISU. I haven't ruled out playoffs yet. We've had our share of ups and dowsn before, and eventually bounced right back. Consistency is certainly a huge issue for us. And it all starts and ends with our pass game. But I still believe in our defense .. just a bad day.

And we certainly are not a #13 team at this point.
