DOHA, Qatar – University of Pennsylvania men's track & field alumnus Sam Mattis placed 11th in the men's discus at the IAAF World Athletics Championships with a throw of 63.42m. Mattis reached the final of the 32-athlete field with a mark of 63.96m in the first round.
