One of the biggest fight to come along in quite some time, and it could possibly be Floyd Jr's last one.

I don't think it will be because he likes the spotlight too much. I truly dislike what he said about the UFC, but I love his style, and I think he's going to soundly beat Oscar

What did he say?

Something along the lines of..UFC's champions can't handle boxing. That's why they are in UFC. He kept on yammering by saying "Put one of our guys in UFC and he'd be the champion. Any good fighter, he'd straight knock them out. Take Chuck Liddell. Put him in the ring with a (boxer) who is just 10-0 and Chuck Liddell would get punished. They wouldn't have a chance to grapple (us) because we'd knock them out."

He dissed The Iceman, and that's what got me riled up.

I think I'll take Oscar just because Floyd dissed the UFC.

I think I'll take Oscar just because Floyd dissed the UFC.

I normally would too, but this is a fight that'll be up close, some what personal, and nothing long range about it.

Floyd Jr. very large in this one, much to my dismay!:D

Heard ODH may be up to as much as 170 after the weigh in at 154. that'd be a huge advantage as Mayweather has rarely fought/weighed above 150. Hmmm.

Another tidbit: ODHoya's trainer/coach is Mayweathers father, apparently the two don;t speak.

Floyd is a better fighter when he is at 150, he will be much quicker than Oscar is Oscar does decide to baloon up.

and thats a rule I hate about boxing, the weigh in should be done right before the fight as well, not just for show before it

Just shows how little he knows about Liddell or MMA. Chuck is a damn good striker and has knockout power in both hands.

Chuck is my favorite fighter in ALL of MMA. Some friends of mine went to a UFC event a while back and got to meet Chuck. They said he was the most down to earth, and nicest guy you'd ever want to meet.

I'm a little worried about his fight with Jackson. I saw their fight in 2003, and as much as I don't like saying it, Chuck was dominated from the opening bell. I heard he had a torn quad going into that fight, so that might explain his poor performance.

Not watching the fight, but following on the Internet. CNNSI.com has it 2 rounds to 1 for ODH so far.

Evidently, Oscar is kicking Floyd's butt. Of course, I'm just a poor guy following on the Internet.

Big punch by Mayweather may have hurt Oscar, according to CNNSI.com.

Switched over the ESPN.com, and they have the fight 6 rounds to 3, Mayweather.

MAYWEATHER ALL THE WAY. ODH TRIED TO STEAL ROUNDS WITH HIS LITTLE FLURRYS. ODH ONLY LANDED A COUPLE OF FLUSH SHOTS THE ENTIRE FIGHT.

Oscar ate Mayweather's jab all night.
Mayweather has to be the most accurate puncher in boxing.
Most of his punches find the mark.xnodx

Oscar was hitting nothing but arms, gloves, etc.
Oscar looked good throwing all those punches, but he wasn't doing or landing nothing.xnodx

I miss the days when knockouts were common in boxing - Mayweather was never a threat to floor De La Hoya - I still think Mayweather wins on the scoring, but lack of power in the punches makes for boring watching.

I'm waiting for Mayweather to accept Dana White's tentative offer and get his ass whooped in the Octagon

Why would Mayweather sign on to be part of a stupid stunt like that.xlolx
He's a Champion in 5 different boxing weight classes.

Dude's making $10 to $15 million per BOXING MATCH and since he just beat THE GOLDEN BOY, that figure is sure to go higher if he decides to continue to fight.

UCF gotta find another meal ticket.xnodx

UFC doesn't need Mayweather, they made $220 million in PPV money in 2006, more than boxing ever made. Mayweather made comments, thats the only reason Dana White responded in the first place. UFC doesn't need Floyd, Floyd needed UFC to "hype up" his own fight in a dying sport

AHHHHHHHH......................OK.:)
Good for UCF.:)

BTW: This fight was PUT TOGETHER, PROMOTED, HYPED by GOLDEN BOY PRODUCTIONS...............OSCAR's Company.

Mayweather was being MAYWEATHER.
$220 million really ain't a lot for an entire year when you consider this 1 boxing match alone will make more than $220 million in 1 NIGHT after all the Gate and PPV reciept's are counted.xnodx

I wasn't talking gate, I was just talking PPV. The UFC broke the pay-per-view industry's all-time records for a single year of business and generated over $200 million in revenue during 2006. The all-time record year for boxing was 1999, with just over $200 million in combined PPV revenue, and the UFC broke that record by over $20 million in 2006.

and just b/c Oscar promoted the fight doesn't mean it won't behove Mayweather to hype himself up as well
