Does anyone give my hawks a shot in hell this week? Is this a "good" Montana team? I say that in quotes b/c there never seems to be a bad one.. Line is about 22 but we usualyl do not fare well when we play "up" unless you count bad teams from the CAA.. I assume you guys are expecting a cakewalk.

Expecting a good close game. Hoping to find a running game and hoping the pass defense improves steadily all season.
This may be the best set of receivers you see all season. Also Dante Olsen may be best defensive player you see all season.
would like to see a 42-14 score expecting a 35-24 score.

You don't exactly have your finger on the pulse here chicken. I guarantee you nobody I have talked to has any sour feeling about our performance against the Ducks. We played pretty well but made some key mistakes. Pretty confident that there is also no looking ahead as you suggest not the feeling I've ever once gotten from a Hauck team which is the important part but also no one is talking about UCD outside of the program either here in Missoulerah either. I've had a lot of discussion this week about Monmouth and correcting pronunciations etc. but hey what would I know.

I know Monmouth is a decent opponent and could definitely be in it until the end. Is an upset possible? Anything is possible of course. They look fairly solid in many areas but against W. Michigan it looks like the secondary took a bit of a beating and I expect this game will look similar to that in score and stats. I've been wrong plenty though.

As Ursus mentioned, I think you missed the mark on your analysis. Having watched the Oregon game, I would assume the Griz are holding their heads fairly high. And the coach is way too much of a dick to let them look past 5pm today, let alone look to the Davis game.

If Monmouth struggles with pass defense as has been mentioned, I suspect it may be a long day for them.... Good luck!

That is the thing I saw/see as well. This is gonna be a real tough matchup for Monmouth in that regard and they would have to bring so much pressure all the time so I just think you guys are gonna get burned too much on the edges and downfield.

I am very happy to see your team coming in because you are fresh faces and I really like to see teams around the country on our schedule. Looking forward to seeing your team live and in action.xthumbsupx

No, we never lose at home, or lose to bad teams, or blow 20+ point leads in the fourth quarter, or give up 46 unanswered. We're invincible!

good stuff man- nothing but respect here- Montana "is" FCS football.. Great state, and that atmosphere is what this is all about.. Our team and staff is confident but we come in with respect for sure..Alwats dreamed of going to see a game there, and I played at Monmouth so this was perfect but a health issue made it impossible..will be watching and even though our team does not think this way I WILL be pleased with a moral victory and confidence to build on into our league schedule and a hopeful playoff run..Our top guys have usually been as good as any, but we lack the depth and frankly rarely match up with passing teams that have bigger WR's. There is something "missing"...Just not quite there yet, but we want to be...We have a couple guys out but no excuse there at all...Lookign forward to watching online and hope all come out healthy..

I don't even have to click the links to know that one is probably the PSU game. The descriptions are fairly evident on others. But that PSU game hurt me too brother. xlolx

Due to various life circumstances, that PSU game is not only the last game I went to, but the last game I actually fully watched too. Great way to ruin a perfect Saturday/weekend!

If the Griz are "good," the Hawks will likely get blown out because that's what seems to happen every time they play someone legitimately good. If the Griz aren't at all good, then Monmouth wins.

At this point, it looks like the Griz are somewhere in-between. UM's WRs are really dangerous and their special teams are strong, but the running game is iffy and their pass rush isn't good. I'd expect a margin around 17 or so.
