Why isn't sportscenter, baseball tonight, and the national press all over this one???? Dice-K hasn't exactly been worth all the hype recently.

For the yanks and sox, money is no object.
Who was it that said this guy is going to win 100 games in 6 years? Seriously, you want to watch good pitching go check out Smoltz and Hudson.

He's on pace for 16 wins this season and if u run that pace over 6 seasons its 96 wins. and you gotta think hes only gonna get better as he gets more accustomed to the new enviornment. So 100 over 6 years. very possible

If he was a Yankee and playing like this, it would be the lead story every night on Sportscenter. But since he plays for the Bristol RedSox, everyone says he'll be ok. I don't get why Boston always gets the pass, especially when they finished 3RD last year. Eveyone would be killing the Yanks if they would have gotten Dice-K. Since he's in Boston, he gets 3 months of hype and a free pass.

You know, you act as if hes getting hit around like Jeff Weaver or Kei Igawa....
Yea his ERA is a tad high. But he hasnt given up many solid hits, hes had a lot of bloop hits and he has had some control problems as he gets used to the american strike zones as well as a completely different type of baseball.
He's allowed 2 HR in nearly 40 innings, while Yankee ground ball masterpiece theatre Chien-ming Wang has given up 3 in half the innings. Igawa has allowed 8.

xnonox No comparisons to Igawa please.
Igawa was not anticipated to be an ace. He was brought in (and grossly overpaid as a reaction to the Dice-K signing) to battle for the 5th spot in the rotation. He has been getting rocked but has shown some signs of promise.
I agree that Dice-K isn't pitching bad. Hitters are less than .250 against him. Nevertheless, if he was pitching like this for New York he, Torre, Cashman, and Steinbrenner would be getting killed. He gets a pass because he's playing for Boston.
