PHILADELPHIA – While the sport of sprint football has been Bill Wagner's vocation for the past 50 years, anyone who has met "Wags" knows that he's most assuredly a "baseball lifer" who spent over 30 years as pitching coach with the Penn baseball program. Thus, it seems fitting that after announcing his retirement at the conclusion of the upcoming sprint football season the Philadelphia Phillies have invited Wags to throw out the first pitch ahead of their game on September 10 against the first-place Atlanta Braves.
