My goodness they waited for the folks from Chahinkapa to come?!?!? That had to be a solid 1 1/2 to 2 hrs! Wahpeton is not close to Grand Forks in a situation like that.

My goodness they waited for the folks from Chahinkapa to come?!?!? That had to be a solid 1 1/2 to 2 hrs! Wahpeton is not close to Grand Forks in a situation like that.


The practice field is a fenced in area that is surrounded by both residential and busy roads along with the University. For the safety of the moose, they shut the gates to the practice field and it basically spent the whole day in there. They didn't want it to get out and run into traffic and the plan was to move it later in the evening. Guessing in the interim, they got connected with the zoo and they had plenty of time to come up and help relocate it.
