I hate just "falling into line" and picking the home teams like everyone else, but I just don't see most of these games being anywhere close to competitive. A few years ago and SUU at UNI might have been close, but SUU has won 1 game since Thanksgiving 2017...so....no.
I know that UMass is pretty bad for an FBS team, and if they were playing anyone in the top half of the MVFC, I'd think they'd be ripe for a "scalping"...but nope...they're playing SIU.

Everything else should be pretty much a blowout, I think.

The source may be incorrect, but according to the chart posted a while back showing all the "money games" that schools were playing this year and how much they were getting, SIU is only getting $25k from UMass for this game: https://i.imgur.com/JMimynb.jpg

WIU beat CCU 52-10 but only beat SIU 34-31. UMASS is FBS in name only. In reality they would be a bottom feeder in the CAA. The sad part is UMASS used to be a respectable program, but they've been nothing but a dumpster fire since they went FBS. They need to do what Idaho did and come back to FCS. They are the laughing stock of FBS football.

Yeah, a pretty boring slate of games this week. I'll go with my gut and throw my hat in with the Salukis just to mix things up a bit even though my head says they lose a shootout.

Howard @ Youngstown St - Won't be as bad as Howard's game last week but still lopsided
Southern Illinois @ UMass - For as bad as SIU is 5dimes only has UMass as a 4.5 point favorite - stranger things have happened
North Dakota @ North Dakota St - As much as I hate to say this is probably the most intriguing game in the MFVC this week but I would feel unclean if I didn't pick my Bison to win and in convincing fashion
Western Illinois @ Colorado St - Need to see WIU show better than they need last week before I pick them in an upset
Southern Utah @ Northern Iowa - I have a feeling that UNI plays down to their competition this week after last week's heartbreaker and win a game that's closer than it should be
South Dakota @ Oklahoma - Yikes... the Sooners will probably put up 80
