UCA vs APSU is due to be the GOTW of the bunch imo APSU has the talent to compete with UCA but the big question is can they answer the call when the time comes? We have some very good skill players coming back and a defense that beyond the 1st string is a bit shaky to watch. I think we’re solid on special teams but against a team like UCA we need to be careful how we play things. The new coach after Healy brought life back to the program has proven that he knows what he’s doing and I think this will be close. I have UCA winning this by 1 score but I wouldn’t at all be surprised to see APSU take this game.

I have no idea how to rank ACU at this point. We have played two mismatches. We’ve faced a FBS team with a lot more talent than us and NAIA team with a lot less talent. The next two weeks will tell me a lot more about whether we have made the kind of progress we need to show to take another step forward in the SLC.

I'm not buying it. SFA will be competitive and dangerous in the SLC. Y'all just played Tarleton which is a Division II power. The 'Jacks picked up 400+ yards total offense, no fumble, no interceptions. Didn't get blown out. The "new" y'all keep talking about is good stuff -- lots of new talent (look at the talented freshmen and transfers you have) and a coach who brings in discipline, structure, and excitement that wasn't there the last few years. The "S" in SFA stands for sandbagging. I expect the 'Jacks to rebound and give Southern Utah a good battle.

We have actually lost two straight to Tarleton, played them back in 2007 and lost 27-24 in OT and went 0-11 that season.

Also, I would say we would be doing better if we had all our players.

We have 6 starters out with injuries or academic issues.
