It's great to see the Brewers doing well. I hope to catch a game when they come to Philly in a couple of weeks. It's a shame that a putz like Selig is associated with them.

They certainly have been playing good baseball - I think they could be for real.

I used to know the Mench family pretty well and Kevin played in the Little League I coached in (also a UD guy), so I have following them fairly closely. I hope they keep it up and that Kevin continues to produce. xthumbsupx

I saw him play at UD. Rumor has it that he has the biggest helmet size in all of MLB.xreadx

I hope they can continue to win. I follow the Brewers to see how former Jag Rickie Weeks is doing. I had a chance to see them last year against the Rays.

Capuano was taken out after only 3 innings, only gave up 2 hits, so he might have gotten hurt

damn, i was right! http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=2858006

and he's on my fantasy team, so much for 1st place

I picked them in an earlier thread to win the NL Central. They have a good starting staff, young bats, and a good bullpen. They are for real.

It's about time that the Brew Crew is getting things going now!

I think that J.J. Hardy, Prince Fielder, and Jose Cordero have a chance to make the NL All-Star team.

To answer an earlier question, Bud Selig no longer is the owner of the Brewers (no wonder they are doing better!). The Brewers are much improved and are playing in probably the weakest division in baseball. In particular, they have improved their pitching. A solid rotation and a very good bullpen. Good young hitters, too, led by the young Prince Fielder. They would be my favorite to win the Central, based on what they've done so far.

I totally agree with you. Getting Suppan really helped us, to already add to Sheets (if he's healthy) and Capuano (injured in the game against the Cardinals), and our hitting is great right now. J.J. Hardy is in my opinion, the most consistent player on the roster, the man flat out comes to play almost every game. Bill Hall needs to get to the pace he was at last year, then we'll have another threat to hit on out everytime he comes to bat.

Sheets will be fine and is a solid No. 1 starter. Bill Hall is getting used to playing one position every day. He will be fine, though last season was likely his career year. Fielder is going to be a big star. He's been on my radar since he was a little kid, hanging out with his dad.

I think your completely right about Sheets, at least he's not Mark Prior or Kerry Wood. Fielder is truely going to be a huge threat to hit a home run everytime he steps up like a Albert Pujols or Alex Rodriguez.

Bill Hall, will step up I hope, he started the season like this last year, maybe not this slow, but I'm pretty sure he'll step up.
