This one is of particular interest to me. Both teams have new coaches and both have been completely mediocre the past couple years.

UTC should win but we shall see.

Aside from EIUs inability to catch kicks, this has been a pretty equally matched game, IMO.

Congrats Chatt on the win.
Chatt had a good passing game w 250 yards but only 340+ yards total O because they ran for only 90 yds... not sure what all that means yet vs EIU but I don't think EIU is that good so Chatt needs to work on run game. Chatt D was good in this holding EIU to 350 yds... bc that was w some yardage coming late after game decided. Neither team really good on O. EIU a little more balanced

Lots to work on after that game but a win is a win.

The offense looked completely inept at first but started to come around. You could tell we were trying to establish the run without sucess, though I was really impressed by Ford - He was by far the best running back last night. Tiano looked a little rusty, and he struggles some with "easy" outlet passes, but he throws a nice deep ball. The first INT was clearly not his fault, though the second looked like a bad decision. Obviously we can't have three false start penalties on the same drive.

Defensively we were so-so, but room to improve? We had a couple of bad penalties we have to clear up.

Upsides: I thought Ford was a huge (and unexpected) bright spot in the offense. Brewer punted well. And a big one (compared to Arth)- we made sucessful halftime adjustments.

We're going to have to play better against a good and pissed off JSU team next week.
