Vegas and everyone agree that losing THREE NFL players is too much for any FCS team like Samford. Samford should be down this year and lose. If YSU loses man that would be just embarrassing. Nothing to lose for Samford. QB, WR and DL all in NFL. too much to overcome. 😉

Butler rallies late, stunning Youngstown State 23-21

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- Will Marty (https://www.espn.com/college-football/player/_/id/3130226/will-marty) threw two touchdowns in the fourth quarter and Drew Bevelhimer (https://www.espn.com/college-football/player/_/id/4051301/drew-bevelhimer) drilled a 44-yard field goal with four seconds left to win it as Butler stunned No. 24 Youngstown State 23-21 on Saturday in a season opener for both teams.


2 weeks later, Butler lost to Princeton 50-7 & later lost to Valpo & Davidson, 2 of the historically worst programs in ALL of college football. The same Team that defeated the renowned Penguins from the mighty MVFC finished 2-6 in the lowly, non-Scholarship PFL. If they didn’t run Pelini out of town on a rail & shut down their program after losing to Butler, I don’t think ANYTHING can embarrass YSU. They are shameless.

Some might NOT agree, as Samford has reloaded nicely IMO. I do agree, however, that today will tell us lots about our outlook for this season. I have a feeling that we may not be as down as folks think, or maybe hope.
