McCown (SHSU) Traded During Draft - Starter for Raiders?

QB Josh McCown, who led SHSU to the I-AA quarterfinals in 2001, was traded to the Raiders from the Lions along with WR Mike Williams for a fourth round pick...

With JaMarcus Russell waiting in the wings, perhaps McCown can start for the Raiders.

This is not good news for McCown by any stretch. If he gets a chance to play, he's going to spend most of the time on his back. And with Russell the #1 pick overall, its not likely they are going to let him watch games from the sidelines...

It is better news for him than being in Detroit where for reasons that go beyond explanation they let Kitna throw 20+ ints and still don't give McCown a single QB snap.
