Is Troy Anderson the first ever defensive player to be on the Payton watch list? He isn't playing QB this year right??

I get this, like the Heisman, is now just the "QB with the most gaudy stats" award, but the award is for the best/most impressive player right?

If Anderson repeats what he did last year he'd get my "vote"

I'll still take Randy Moss.

Watching Randy go against FCS DBs was...well...like a man against boys.

Just not fair.

Hell, he **** all over even the best DBs in the NFL.

If he lands on the First Team All Big Sky QB list, again, while doing everything else like he did last year I don't give a damn.

Same as I said a year ago...I still don't get why Caylin Newton of Howard is on any list ... 51% completion rate, 22 to 17 TD to Pick ratio, 18 sacks, 500 rush yards with 3.2 ypc .. and that was only slightly better passing than his first year, but his rushing starts slipped from first year.

Clearly his name recognition has him on this list, it certainly is not his stats or level his competition. Maybe he has terrible OC, OL and WRs ... but still, the numbers have to be much better than this to be on watch list. Those stats would get him benched in a good conference.

It’s name recognition and I think he had a really good 2017 season.

Define really good....and then stretch that definition as far as you can, then triple that and your still a billion miles off

I’m not gonna argue that it isn’t Moss but what Coop did to NFL type DB’s at UW, WSU, OSU, and especially the two plays on this clip against the Ducks was sick. The punt return against the Griz wasn’t bad either.
