After winning four races over four days, from July 7-10, at the 2019 USRowing U23 Senior Trails, Columbia Rowing senior Sam Melvin (New York AC) earned a spot on the U.S. National Team in the lightweight men's single sculls, with a 6:59.31 finish in the final race at Mercer Lake, clinching the spot on the team.
