Over 12 decades have passed since the University of North Dakota and its football program have become synonymous with a winning tradition when Lieutenant Charles S. Farnsworth organized the school's first team, and since that January day in 1894, UND football has become a staple to the city of Grand Forks and one of the school's top sources of pride.
