Maybe there is already a thread on this but I couldn't find one. Thinking about things to do on Friday evening and I noticed that the Fargo-Moorhead Red Hawks are playing the St Paul Saints on Friday eve at 7:00, the night before the game. Anybody thinking about going to that or have any other ideas for things to do??

It looks like the St. Paul Saints' stadium is near the end of the light rail line in downtown St. Paul, so if you are staying in downtown Minneapolis during the trip, you probably could easily use the light rail to travel between Minneapolis and St. Paul.

You can....driving isn't a huge deal either. Saints games are fun....nice stadium.

I'll be participating in operation takeover downtown Minneapolis most likely on Saturday night. Not sure about Friday. The Minnesota state fair is going on that entire weekend. There's live horse races at Cantebury Park in Shakopee at 6PM on Friday night.

I'm up for a Saints/Redhawks game on Friday.

I'm sure there will be plenty of AGS Bison guys down there. Getting together is a must!

The big problem is that it takes 50-60 minutes to go from the LRT Station nearest CHS Field (Saints ballpark) to downtown Minneapolis.

There is a nice tailgating lot that I park in for work near CHS Field if anyone is interested in that, see the map below.

I would also highly recommend the Minnesota State Fair.

The stone arch brisge is pretty great with a nice view of Saint Anthony Falls and downtown Minneapolis.

There are a TON of great places to eat in downtown Minneapolis. One is Manny's. I haven't been there for years but it was fabulous.

I'd go to a Redhawks vs Saints game. If I am over there, I'll probably want to hit up Cosetta as well.

Hi All,

Saints game is a great evening for sure. I go to 10 games a year or so. Lots of new bars and restaurants in the area. Also many new microbreweries around Target Field and surround areas. Some of my favorites are Dangerous Man, Fulton, Bauhaus. Should be a great weekend of activity for all out-of-towners. I will be using Lyft quite a bit that weekend. Looking forward to the Bison game.
