Well, my friend has signed me up to play in a spring league without asking me first. He figured the only way he'd play is if I play and vice versa. Probably the best thing he could have done for me. I haven't put the pads on in two years and with 89jr taking to it, I guess I better get back into. Hockey is the only sport I enjoy playing more than golf. Unfortunately, you can't be as out of shape for hockey as you can be for golf. UGH, I spent some time on the bike last night and will be back on it every day between now and my first game next Thursday. If you don't hear from me next Friday, send flowers. :D

Well, I made it through my first game... barely. I was dying on the bench halfway through the first period. :o Caught a little bit of a second wind and was OK the rest of the game. A little sore today, but OK. Volunteered to play defense even though I normally play forward. I figured being the new guy on the team I'd play where they needed help. We only had two sets of D so I had more than enough ice time. The best news is that I scored the winning goal in a 2-1 game with 2 minutes remaining the game! :D

It's always the second day after that kills you.

Congrats on the GWS!
