I usually read Bill Simmons for his links, but this was an interesting article about the decline of boxing and how this is the Last Great Fight. I've been watching the reality show thing they have on HBO about Floyd and Oscar and it is definitely interesting. I'll be watching come may 5th xnodx.

Oscar wins this by knockout. Mayweather doesn't have much power in his usual weightclass, and he is basically moving up two weight classes. Oscar will be too big and strong for him. Mayweather hasn't really fought any great fighters(Zab Judah and Corrales are decent), and will be overwhelmed by the spotlight. And I absolutely loathe Mayweather.

This bout sets up like Chavez-Whitaker in San Antonio back in '93. Oscar is more mobile than Julio Cesar, but Floyd could leave him frustrated. I really don't know what to make of this one. I'm anxious to watch it myself.

Man please.

Oscar ran from Hopkins and Mayweather his entire carear.xlolx
He knew he couldn't beat them so he got mega rich first.

He got gift's from the judges when he faught Sugar Shane and Sweet Pee.
He lost both those fight's even though he was "declared" the winner.

Then turned around and lost to Bernard Hopkins by a vicious knockout in the 9th after running from him too.
Bernard Hopkins is good but he ain't even in the same class to Mayweather.

Mayweather gonna dominate him worse than Bernard did. xnodx

You lose all credibility when you say that Mayweather is better than Hopkins. Oscar has never ducked Mayweather because he has always been 20+ pounds heavier. A gift decision was the decision Trinidad got over DLH. Oscar beat him like he stole something.

I think you are allowing your dislike for Mayweather to cloud your judgement. Mayweather is supremely skilled, and Oscar's skills have eroded. I will say that Oscar is training very hard and looks better than he has in his last four fights, but he is not the Oscar of old.

Mayweather wins a unanimous decision. There will be no knockdowns.

Yeah. It is very interesting.

it really is. When you see how Floyd grew up, just boxing all the time and how intense his dad was, you can see why he is the best.
