Siddiq Haynes is going into his fourth year with the Sam Houston State University football program, but his first on staff after being added to the staff as an assistant coach, focusing primarily on the Bearkat defensive linemen.
He has spent the last three years serving in numerous capacities for the Kats and played for Bearkat head coach K.C. Keeler at the University of Delaware as a defensive tackle from 2007 to 2011. He was a member of the Blue Hens' squads that earned a berth in the FCS National Championship game in both 2007 and 2010.
As a senior, he was an all-conference selection and was named as a team captain for the All State AFCA Good Works team.
Following graduation, Haynes worked for two years as head of community outreach for the athletic marketing program at the University of Delaware.
