Still cant understand how they can award that horse the winner when Maximum Security didnt interfere with Country House. Makes no sense.

Pretty simple, the winner was DQ'd so the second place horse is now the winner. Not sure why this is difficult for some people to grasp. It was absolutely the right call too. You can't have a horse weaving all over the track.

Yes, Country House benefited from Maximum Security's "wide" turn that cut off the two other contenders at the top of the stretch. Right call, sad outcome. Sort of the same feeling I have when a relief pitcher blows a save and then picks up the win when the home team rallies.
