Cole Hamels was reminding a lot of people of Steve Carlton tonight in Cincinnati. He came within one strikeout of tying Lefty's record for most K's in a 9 inning game for the Phils. He was masterful with most of his K's coming on change-ups.
On another interesting side note--Phils turned the season's first TRIPLE PLAY with a 'traditional' 5-4-3 around the horn from Nunez to Utley to Dobbs. (Howard still out with ligament strain).
Oh yes, and the PHILLIES WON, 4-1. With the way things have been going, all of the above did not necessarily mean they won, but they did.
